Röyksopp Forever?

The laid-back and at other times hard-hitting Norwegians, Röyksopp, if you didn’t know, put out Junior – an album that takes you on a journey. And on that trek, the terrain and scenery are varied. The beats can be airy, uplifting, and melodic. Potentially celestial at times. Although never weak. Even with female vocals throughout, this pair has a way to invigorate. This production duo by no means needs the human voice to spark life into a track.

Recently, while on a mission in an airport, I fell hard for their down-tempo instrumental, “Röyksopp Forever”. While at the luggage retrieval, I tirelessly waited the arrival of my bag. Thanks to the light ripples of strings upon the intro, my frustration level was subdued, and everything was alright. Its tempo remained calm, with light effects reminiscent of a track intended to kick back when on a euphoric-like substance. With all the effects present, it gives off the persona of an exclusive to experience while traveling through space. At about the half-way point, the strings become more immediate and erupt with intensity. The angelic whir becomes apparent – this is when my bag landed, per se. Hoisting the oblong bag over my shoulder, the symphonic number continued to pound and build, as I commenced a journey that would build and build, too.

Regardless, this song could be eternal in its manner…

I´m crazy about this track at the moment. I was walking the streets feeling gloomy and it completely lifted me.
I just googled this song because I want to find out what is happening harmonically when it shifts from that minor feel to that major feel part of the song. Are you sufficiently versed in muso speak to know this?
