It’s the era that made me realize music needs to be scrounged for. Great bands weren’t necessarily going to come find me in the 1990s. That time spent discovering continues to pay off today. For me, and most likely for you, too, the 90s will always be the best period for music. Simply, great driving guitar-based records stemmed from this time. Chicago/Champaign’s own Hum recently wrecked (or I wrecked myself?) us after being on a rather long hiatus. And now, it’s the Seattle based quartet Sunny Day Real Estate reuniting to deliver their distinct Seattle sound for our aural pleasure. How about Pitchfork recruits SDRE for Friday night’s festivities and they lay Diary in all its entirety upon us?
Seattle’s Ear Candy is enlightening us to this intense blast from the past.Vodpod videos no longer available.
