If I had to dip, I’d probably skip to Chicago

Slug

If the people laugh and giggle when you tell em where you live
Say shhh, say shhh
And if you know this is where you wanna raise your kids
Say shhh, say shhh
If you’re from the Midwest and it doesn’t matter where
Say shhh, say shhh
If you can drink tap water and breathe the air
Say shhh, say shhh

And it hit me, too; maybe Minnesota is dope like MC Slug of Atmosphere fame celebrates all over the bonus/hidden track, “Shhh”. (Patience-it kicks in at four minutes) Kidding. I really don’t know if it is or isn’t, but our boy can attest to the fact that parts of MN have unique offerings. Dude, this track is exclusively for you! The HP needs another track on its desktop.

If you’re still reading—This track’s beat is simple: light keyboard gliss, little guitar lick, and a simple drum hit. It’s Slug’s heartfelt lyrics for his hometown that really ties this track all together. You can hear his sincerity proclaiming that Minnesota really is all that, even if the nightlife ain’t all that, according to our tour guide.

Atmosphere :: Always Coming Back Home to You/Shhh

I’d love to hear a song like this about Chicago. Is it out there? Los Angeles has one.

Haha. Hilarious post (complete with links). Very fitting considering my current locale. I do dig the hidden track. Nice and easy beat and flow. Didn’t you pick up this album when we were at Amoeba for the first time? Why does that stick out in my mind?

    Duluth, MinneSNOWta…

    Good lookin’ out.
